A new study found that one in three men taking the drug for erectile dysfunction suffer a side effect known as priapism — a prolonged erection that lasts longer than four hours. And, Kiely said, even if your blood pressure isn't high enough, it may still be possible for you to develop priapism. If you do, talk to your doctor to see if you should take Viagra or Cialis to treat erectile dysfunction.
